Agartala, Feb 06: Interim Budget has left the lawyers disappointed and Tripura High Court Bar Council will submit a demand list to the Governor Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki on February 12 next.
Chairman of Tripura High Court Bar Council, Pijush Biswas today expressing his anguish over the recently placed interim budget claimed, “The lawyer fraternity of the country as always remained deprived of the deserving facilities”.
While addressing a press conference at Tripura High Court Bar Council office, he said, the lawyers throughout the country get very little of what they actually deserve. Since a long time the lawyers had staged many agitations, protest rallies seeking their rights but till date the government is delaying to provide so. And this interim budget is also proved to be the same for us, Biswas added.
Charting their demands he pointed out, our demands— Chambers for all the bar associations with necessary facilities, budgetary allocations of rupees 5 crore for lawyers and litigants and financial protection for the entire fraternity are still to be addressed except the government of Telengana who have raised their hands for the legal laborers in some extent.
However, highlighting the further course of action he said, on February 12 next the Bar council of Tripura will submit a charter of demands to the governor along with all the collectorates which will be addressed to the Prime Minister of India. Meanwhile, the Bar Council of India will submit the charter demand to the Prime Minister on the same date at New Delhi.
