Agartala, Feb 04, 2019: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit on February 09, all round preparations are going on in full swing. PM Modi will address a public meeting at Swami Vivekananda Ground and the ground is undergoing a noticeable makeover – moreover, road from Airport to venue ground are also witnessing several activities like erecting road-side barricade for people, hoardings etc. And of course, authority is busy periodical assessment of security arrangements in the rally venue.
Preparations has been geared up ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s February 09 visit. In one hand, the Swami Vivekananda Ground where he is scheduled to address a public gathering is going through a makeover. And on the other, the security arrangements are being tightened.
Apart from intensifying security shield throughout the City, vigil tightened at sub-divisional level to monitor and promptly prevent prevalence of any sensitive situation. Moreover, as part of tight security arrangements, security personnel are carrying out anti-sabotage checking and random vehicle checking since last week.
Police sources said, some newly added operations like scanning hotels, sensitive locations and dormitories where outsiders usually take shelter have also been undertaken.
The tenants are also under scanner; in some areas police officials have started verifying details of the paying guests. Meanwhile, the decorative measures are also in the high. Laborers are working night and day in and out the ground. New welcome hoardings will also be placed throughout the city.
