September 15, 2018: All India BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and BJP North East In-charge Ajay Jamwal will arrive in Agartala tomorrow in an one-day tour, party sources said. Both the leaders will hold meetings with State BJP core committee, state committee and office bearers. BJP National leader and State in-Charge Sunil Deodhar and NEDA chairman Himanta Biswa Sharma are also expected to attend the meetings.
Ram Madhav and Ajay Jamwal are expected to discuss and assess the emerging political situation in the State. In the close heels of clashes between BJP and IPFT, Ram Madhav and Ajay Jamwal’s State visit assume lot of significance, political circles opined.
Meanwhile, in the close heels of recent spate of bloody clashes between ruling BJP and its ally IPFT, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varman chaired a meeting between BJP and IPFT today in Agartala and said, “There is no problem within BJP and IPFT”. “I am optimistic that the BJP-IPFT alliance will remain intact”.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by his cabinet colleague and IPFT leader Mebar Kumar Jamatia, IPFT leaders- Ananta Debbarma and Mangal Debbarma besides Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman and BJP leader Pratima Bhowmik.
