September 09, 2018: For the first time in the State, a department – Health Department presented a comprehensive report on its achievement, actions and plans. Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman presented the report in a press meet in Agartala today.
Taking the cue from the Central Government, State Health Department noted down its activities for the period between March 9, 2018 and September 8 last. The report also listed its upcoming short-term and long-term plans. Going through the report, it appears that the Health Department is pro-active and working with a vision to improve the overall health care delivery system in the State.
“Tender has been floated to identify Agency for implementation of ‘102’ Emergency Patient Transportation Services in the State with Ambulances linked with a centralized Call Centre ‘102’ on 24X7 basis”, the report mentioned and added, necessary steps have been taken to introduce ‘104’ Health Helpline and Grievance Redressal System.
Highlights:
Super Specialists on contractual basis for Neuro-surgery, Neuro-anesthesia, Nephrology, Cardiology and Cardio thoracic vascular Surgery, and Interventional Radiology will be engaged in GBP
Department of Urology and Plastic Surgery to be inaugurated on September 19 next
Special surgical camps including USG, CT Scan, MRI and echocardiography are being held in GBP Hospital in every 2nd Saturday of the month.
Up-gradation of CHC to SD Hospital at Korbook, Jirania, Kumarghat, Panisagar, Takarjala and Mohanpur are in process.
