Agartala, February 26, 2019: Jawans of 74 Bn of BSF being deployed on International border with Bangladesh organized ‘AGARBATTI’ making skills’ under the aegis of “Pradhan Mantri Koshal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)” at border outpost KALSIMURA in Boxanagar block under Sonamura today. Nearby border population actively participated in the event and especially female folks took keen interest to learn the new skills. The above drive was conducted by 74 Bn BSF under the banner of ‘SKILL INDIA’.
District coordinator of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), concerned border village Pradhans, block development officials and renowned people including various school staff remained present at the event and loudly appreciated the novel step taken by Officers and jawans of 74 Bn BSF for welfare of border population.
In continuation of chain of such mass- profiting efforts undertaken by unit, on February 25, 2019 the jawans of 74 Bn BSF also promoted awareness among border population about security forces, their functioning and feeling of patriotism through exhibition-cum-display of Force weaponry, surveillance equipment, night vision devices, various force multiplier gadgets etc at ‘BOP- MOTINAGAR’ and ‘BOP-ASHABARI’. All the school going children, school staff and young generation of border villages enthusiastically attended the same with deep interest & attention.
