Agartala, March 02, 2019: In a bid to realize the North East Vision of Prime minister Narendra Modi, four path-breaking projects have been taken off in Tripura today. Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan and Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb jointly dedicated Sonamura Gas Collecting Station (GCS) of ONGC Tripura Asset to the Nation today at Agartala.
Staged in the Garba ground of ONGC, Agartala they also launched 1st PNG Connection in West Tripura District, laid foundation stone of 1st CNG Station in Gomati District, and also that of National Skill Training Institute for Women at Agartala through remote control on the same occasion.
The breathtaking event was witnessed by an array of VVIPs including the CMD of ONGC, ShashiShanker, Director (Onshore) S.K. Moitra, ED-Asset Manager of ONGC Tripura Asset G.K. Singha Roy .
The Sonamura Gas Collecting Station (GCS) of ONGC is fully automatic and controlled from one of the most modern control rooms fitted with cutting edge technologies. – The GCS has a designed capacity of 8 lakhs Metric Standard Cubic meter per Day and fulfills the entire demand of natural gas of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) at Monarchok.
The First Piped Natural gas (PNG) connection in West Tripura District, installed by TNGCL at State Guest House- Sonar Toriwill cater the demand of Governor House, Military station &Defiance Establishments, Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport, ILS Hospital, Tea garden at Durgabarai and the adjoining areas of Shalbagan, Ushabazar and Barjala area.
On the other hand, the 1st CNG station in Gomati District will supply CNG to the booster stations in Sonamura, Melaghar, Amarpur, Belonia, Santirbazaar and Manu. This will also create a CNG green corridor between South Tripura, Gomati , Sepahijala and West Tripura districts.
The National Skill Training Institute for women in Anandanagar, Agartala will be providing vocational training to the female target group of Tripura.
