October 04, 2018: In the close heels of arms recovery from Dharmanagar in North Tripura on Tuesday night, Damchhera Police of the same district have today seized one gun, one pistol, bullets and sharp weapons from a youth.
The State – especially the Northern part of the State appears to become a corridor for arms smugglers. Within a span of a day after arms recovery from Dharmanagar in North District and Police seized arms and ammunition alongwith incriminating documents from a youth at Damchhera under North district today.
Sources said, Police seized one Chinese pistol along with four bullets and one country made gun with five bullets and two sharp cutting weapons from a youth – identified as Kabir Uddin (25). Police also seized some incriminating documents, however details about the seized documents remained unknown Police sources said, the arrested youth hails from Kotmani of Bajarichhera under Karimganj district in Assam.
