Tripura CM urges people to suggest first 100 works for Govt after lockdown. He reviewed readiness to fight Covid19, witnessed a mock drill on treating corona patient

Agartala, April 02, 2020: Calling for strict compliance of lockdown norms, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb urged people to chalk out suggestion relating to first 100 works that Government should do after lockdown is lifted. Earlier, the Chief Minister reviewed preparedness of the State Government to fight Covid19 outbreak.
Suggest first 100 works for Govt after lockdown
In a locally televised address to State people, Deb said, We have to prepare ourselves for post-lockdown period from now. Send suggestions to CMO as to what should be the first 100 works of the Government to overcome losses incurred during lockdown. After receiving the suggestions, Government will pick up best ideas for the first 100 works to be done to put the State back into track, he said.
On situation in Tripura after Tablighi, the Chief Minister confirmed that people, who returned to the state after attending Nizamuddin event in Delhi, were quarantined. Samples of altogether 72 persons (including their families) have been tested for coronavirus and all the reports have been found to be negative, he said adding that the second round of test would be conduct to reconfirm it.
The Chief Minister directed the administration to ensure strict vigil along Tripura-Mizoram border and Tripura-Assam border to stop inter-state movement of people.
After reviewing State preparedness, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said, Tripura is prepared to combat any eventuality relating to Covid19 pandemic.
CM Reviews readiness to fight Covid19
The Chief Minister visited AGMC and GBP hospital to review the readiness to fight COVID19. During his visit, the concerned Health staff including medical officers conducted a mock drill as to how they would provide treatment if any person is tested positive with Corona virus.
Later speaking to media, the Chief Minister said, “It is a good sign that there is no report of any positive case in Tripura so far. But, still, the citizens need to be more careful so that they can stay safe from the Corona pandemic– they should maintain social distancing and avoid going out of home since some positive cases have been reported from Karimganj and Manipur.”

The Chief Minister informed media, “All preparations are in place in the GBP hospital– one block having 20 seats including ICU beds has been kept for treating corona patients. Besides, we are also on a move to arrange around 50 beds in IGM hospital like we arranged 50 beds in all districts.”
Video Conference with PM, HM
Biplab Kumar Deb also took part in a video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah toda regarding Corona pandemic situations.
The Chief Minister also briefed the Prime Minister about the present scenario and steps taken by the state government.
