Ten UP youth detained with fake documents in Agartala while leaving for their home land. They came to Tripura to appear in SSC interview

Enewstime Desk

Agartala, January 30, 2020: They are youth and all are residents of Uttar Pradesh, but they have documents  to prove them as residents of Tripura. Using these fake documents, these youths – total 10 – arrived Tripura to appear in SSC interview. But their luck did not favour them for long – before could leave the State, Police detained them and exposed a racket what seems to be strong and have wide coverage.

Amtali police today detained a group of 10 youths with fake documents. The youths, who came from Uttar Pradesh to Tripura for appearing in an interview of SSC, were detained from Agartala railway station when they were returning to their homeland.

According to police, the 10 outsiders appeared in the interview showing fake documents of Tripura domicile. During search, police found fake PRTCs mostly issued from the offices SDM Sadar, Bishalgarh and Udaipur between 2014 and 2017 from the youths. The 10 detainees are- Uday Pratap Chauhan, Aditya Raj, Prabhunath Yadav, Ramsingh Yadav, Ghanshyam Yadav, Amritesh Kumar Yadav, Motilal Yadav, Bishal Singh, Pradip Kumar Singh, and Upendra Yadav.

After interrogating them, Amtali police also detained another person of Uttar Pradesh- Sambhunath Yadav, posted as Rifleman to 12th-Bn TSR, from his rented house in Kalimata Sangha area near Agartala railway station.

All the fake certificates were issued between 2014 and 2017 – and importantly, these fake documents reached heartland of India – Uttar Pradesh from tiny Tripura. Even as only 10 youths were detained, no one has any idea as to how many fake documents pertaining to Tripura domicile are in circulation. Detailed interrogation will shed lights of modus operandi of the racketeers.

It remains to be seen as to whether the players involved in preparing fake documents would be exposed and face punitive action. Fake domicile documents are threat to internal security of the State – henceforth, the investigation needs to unearth racket so that occurrence of such incidences can not prevented. If a youth of UP can obtain fake PRTC, it is difficult to rule out possibility of obtaining the same by foreign nationals. Police will have to deal with detained persons with efficacy and obtain maximum information from them.
