June 18, 2018: The Budget session of Tripura Assembly will commence from tomorrow – June 19. The Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Barma will present his and BJP – IPFT maiden state budget.
The session would have eight sittings, on June 21, 22 and 25 there will be discussion on budget by members in the house. On first day of the session two bills will be introduced in the house – the Tripura Infrastructure and Fund Board Bill and the Tripura Panchayat Bill 2018 ( 6th Amendment).
Before the session, a meeting of council of ministers would be held. The Opposition Left Front in state committee meeting held on Sunday finalized strategy for the budget session. In the 60 members House, the BJP has 36 MLAs and its ally IPFT has 8 while CPI- M has 16 MLAs and Congress nil.
