February 28, 2018: Buoyed after Exit Polls predicted victory of BJP in Tripura, leaders of the saffron party today held a closed-door organizational meeting with the party candidates and polling agents and discussed about tit-bits of counting in details. The counting of State Assembly Polls – which was held on February 18 – will be held on March 3 (Saturday).
All India BJP general secretary Ram Madhav, BJP’s election in-charge cum Finance Minister Dr Hemanta Biswa Sharma, State BJP Prabhari Sunil Deodhar and BJP State president Biplab Deb along with IPFT supremo NC Debbarma focused on several aspects of ‘counting’.
Confident of winning with comfortable majority, BJP leaders urged workers and supporters to remain calm and maintain law and order. Leaders also asked agents to remain in counting halls till the official announcement was made and keep tight watch on proceedings.
