January 21, 2018: Formal announcement of BJP-IPFT alliance will be made tomorrow, moreover, it is also expected that BJP will be able to forge alliance with another tribal Party – INPT tomorrow as leaders of BJP and INPT are reportedly holding talks tonight, sources said.
BJP All India general secretary Ram Madhav and Tripura poll in-charge Hemanta Biswa Sharma has arrived in Agartala today evening and started meetings with party leaders and IPFT as well as INPT. “Announcement on alliance issue will be made by Ram Madhav in presence of Sharma and State leaders tomorrow”, Party sources said.
Even though, Congress MLA Gopal Roy held meetings with INPT and NCT leaders pertaining to alliance, however, possibility of BJP-IPFT-INPT alliance is bright and Political analysts opined that alliance with IPFT is sure and it is on the card with INPT. Unconfirmed reports indicated IPFT would get nine seats out of 20 ST seats. With Ram Madhav and Hemant Biswa Sharma on stage, all eyes are now focused on seat sharing.
