Agartala, Mar 10: The State Cabinet has approved two important issues – age relaxation for 40 TET qualified teachers and ‘Single window’ approval for entrepreneurial ventures. State education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this today.
Age-relaxation
The State Cabinet approved age-relaxation for 40 ad hoc teachers who had cleared TET bringing a much needed relief to concerned candidates. As many as 40 such teachers became over-age and uncertainty over possibility of their recruitment was looming large.
Addressing a Press Conference here in civil secretariat after the cabinet meeting Ratan Lal Nath said that 40 ad-hoc teachers would get re-appointments in the education department as per the cabinet decisions. “Among the teachers one of them is STGT and others have qualified TET exams. Age relaxation for them has been approved by the state cabinet today,” Nath said.
What is Single Window Approval
In an attempt to encourage entrepreneurial ventures, the State Cabinet has approved “Single Window Approval by all government agencies rules 2020” in order to ease the business activities and entrepreneurship initiatives in the state, Nath said and added, “With this system of approval, the aspiring entrepreneurs and interested investors will have a one stop access to the necessary documents needed for starting a venture.
For availing the facility, an online application will be enough while one had to approach 17 different departments earlier”. He also said that under this rules applicants would get the necessary approval from the government within 30 days if it stood eligible.
“The government has taken the initiative to make the atmosphere of the state more business friendly” said Nath.
Giving details of the existing enterprises, he said, before the BJP-IPFT government came to power, the number of small enterprises in the state stood at 5,431 only. And by March 09 , 2020 as many as 2,980 new units have been registered with an investment of Rs 360 crore which shows that the youth of Tripura is steadily preferring to become job-creators than job seekers. Altogether 16,236 people have been engaged in the new units, he added. He also informed media that altogether 45 new units had been allotted land and sheds in the industrial areas with an investment value of Rs 191 crore in last two years.
