March 28, 2018: BJP MLA Ram Prasad Pal today speaking at Assembly, demanded to ban the CITU affiliated Tripura Motor Shramik Union (TMSU) offices across the State. He said, in the wake of dangerous arms and weapons from TMSU office at Nagerjala in Agartala, it was obvious that TMSU supporters stacked life-threatening weapons to silence voices of Opposition.
Notably today is last day of first Assembly session after Biplab Deb led Government took charge.
Police along with civil administrative officers recovered huge quantity of weapons from Nagerjala TMSU office, he said and urged the Government to take stern actions against the offenders and ban the organization for storeing dangerous weapons.
In reply, the Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, proper steps have been taken relating to arms recovery and guilty will not be spared.
CPIM MLA Sahid Choudhury said, no TMSU workers entered the Nagerjala Office after election results were declared on March 3 and the raid was conducted on March 12. He also pointed out that, Police and other Officials also found that a window at backside of the Office was found open. However, Biplab Deb assured thorough probe into the matter.
