May 02, 2018: The Chief Minister Biplab Deb attended a meeting at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi at 5.00 pm today. The meeting focused on nationwide celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This nation wide celebration programme was organized by the Ministry of Culture, GoI.
In a press communique, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Agartala said this.
The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind presided over the meeting. Among others, Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Union Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh, Chief Ministers of all the States, Union Cabinet Ministers, Minister of States and some dignitaries from foreign countries attended the meeting.
During this meeting, there were discussions undertaken on various means to spread Mahatma Gandhi’s message of peace and non-violence along with the Gram Swaraj, Sanitation etc across the world for celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
