May 26, 2018: Twenty five years versus two-and-half month – certainly not fit for any comparison, yet the Chief Minister Biplab Deb challenged the former CM Manik Sarkar and Left Front leaders for an open debate over performances of former versus incumbent governments. Deb who is also State BJP president said this while addressing a press meet in BJP Party office in Agartala today. Moreover, he announced resumption of MNREGA which remained stalled and affected rural economy.
Deb claimed his new Government has already started performing better than previous Government. In support of his claims, Deb said, “The new government already decided to implement the recommendations of 7th Central Pay Commission and introduced a new transparent recruitment system. It’s just a beginning. The BJP government will fulfill all its promises made in party’s vision document before the polls.”
He reiterated his Government’s commitment to make the State corruption free and narcotics free.
Biplab Deb highlighted achievement of Modi Government during last four years and spoke in details about welfare schemes launched by the Central Government for empowering the underprivileged section of the society.
He specially mentioned about expansion and extension of railway tracks and introduction of several new trains in Tripura after Modi Government assumed years four years ago. He hailed the PM Narendra Modi’s keenness for the development of Tripura as well as whole North eastern region. He also mentioned that the Union Government had released SPA fund and more funds will be released soon.
