April 09, 2018: Amid presence of around two thousand people, the Chief Minister Biplab Deb today said that his Government would focus on creating job opportunities by properly implementing Central schemes designed for creating self-reliant youths. He also said, training for enhancing skills will be imparted to one lakh 17 thousand unemployed youth within 2020 to enable them secure self reliance.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched several programmes to help youths to become reliant. Almost every state has successfully implemented these programmes and created earning opportunities for the unemployed youths. The BJP-led Government in Tripura will also focus on implementing these programmes and create earning opportunities for the unemployed persons. Addressing a programme today in Ambassa the Chief Minister Biplab Deb said this.
The programme was to generate awareness among the people about eight employment and social security related schemes including Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, Stand-up India, Janadhan scheme, Surakhsha Bima Yojna etc. Among others, deputy CM Jishnu Dev Varman, Food and sports Minister Manoj Kanti Deb, Chief Secretary Sanjiv Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Finance M Ragaraju were also present in the programme.
Reiterating his Party’s pre-poll promise, Biplab Deb said, the State Government is committed to ensure earning opportunities to at least one person in every household. He said, “Jobs in government sector cannot ensure development – however, the Government will implement Central projects sincerely to create earning opportunities for unemployed persons”. Saying that BJP never promised government jobs, Deb stressed on self reliance for sustainable growth.
The Chief Minister said, the State will emerge as Model State within next three years. Setting the role of the Government straight, the Chief Minister said, our government is a government of 37 lakhs common people and it is the responsibility of the government to reach out to people – not that people would have to wait for reaching out to government.
