March 16, 2018: The Chief Minister Biplab Deb has started from today holding ‘Jana Darbar’ at State secretariat in Agartala and interacted with common people. He will hold such ‘Jana Darbar’ thrice in a week – Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. While, ‘Jana Darbar’ will be held at secretariat on every Friday, the same will be held on two other days at Chief Minister’s residence.
Sources said, massive public response was observed in today’s ‘Jana Darbar’. The main purpose of such interaction is to provide an effective approach to address public grievances. Officers of several departments including the Addl secy cum DM of West Tripura were also present during the ‘Jana Darbar’ so that necessary actions to address the issues raised by people can be taken without unnecessary delays.
Informed sources opined, such a system of interaction with common people is necessary to address public grievances and run the government efficiently. After interacting with the Chief Minister, visitors today expressed satisfaction and ‘feeling relieved that we have got opportunity to lodge our complaints’ to the CM, said a woman.
