The Chief Minister of Tripura also held meetings with various Government of India Officials like Chief Managing Director (CMD) of National Building Construction Company Ltd(NBCC), Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chief
Managing Director, ONGC, Shashi Shankar, Director General, Software Technology Park of India (STPI), Dr. Omkar Rai, CEO MyGov, Arvind Gupta etc.
The Chief Minister called on Rajnath Singh at his residence and sought his blessings. Deb discussed several issues ranging from Internal Security to Border Management in the context of Tripura with the Union Minister. Also there has been discussion to facilitate clearance of movement of heavy material and equipment of various PSUs such as ONGC via Ashuganj Port (Bangladesh) into Agartala (Tripura) directly to the Go-Downs as per the protocol adopted for FCI trucks in 2015 under which it was permitted to take trucks though prescribed routes inside Agartala (Indian Territory) and escorted to Go-Downs directly. This will save the time as well as the transportation costs required for transshipment at the Integrated Check Post(ICP).
Biplab Deb during his meeting with Arun Jaitley requested for financial assistance from the Central Government for various urgent issues such as 7th Central Pay Commission and Pre-devolution gap of 14th Finance Commission and other urgent issues. Jaitley assured the Deb to provide maximum possible
financial assistance to the State.
During his meeting with Anoop Kumar Mittal, the Chief Minister stressed upon him to complete various
incomplete works being implemented by NBCC in Tripura. He also inquired about the initiatives taken by NBCC for various projects under Smart City Mission. Apart from that, the NBCC has been requested to partner in setting up of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Tripura. Discussion was also held on the plan for re-development of Kunjaban Township area in Agartala on PPP basis. As the erstwhile HSCL has now merged with NBCC Ltd, Deb requested Mittal to improve the quality and to complete all the incomplete roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) that were being constructed by HSCL.

During his meeting with CMD ONGC, Shashi Shankar in Tripura Bhawan, New Delhi, Deb requested himto contribute fund for setting up IIIT in Agartala. CMD ONGC informed that they have already provided Rs. 3.00 Crore to Government of Tripura for this purpose. Regarding the request from the Government of Tripura to provide again Rs. 5.3 Crore for IIIT, the CMD ONGC assured to take the said matter to the Higher Authority for necessary action. The Chief Minister requested CMD ONGC to seek feasibility for supply of pipeline gas to the bricks fields so that the heavy cost of transportation of coal from Meghalaya into Tripura can be substantially curtailed which may reduce overall cost of the bricks in Tripura.

During the meeting with Omkar Rai, Director General, Software Technology Park of India (STPI), the Chief Minister
requested him to set up third Software Technology Park in Agartala apart from the existing two units per the assurance given by the Union Cabinet Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. The Chief Minister informed that about 1.4 acre of land for construction of third STPI building will be provided by the State Government at Gurkhabasti, Agartala for the said purpose. Biplab Deb also requested DG STPI to check the feasibility for constructing a high rise multi-storied modern energy efficient building for STPI in Tripura so as to create maximum space for working of
IT Professionals there. Director General STPI assured that all the possible measures will be taken up to promote IT and IT enabled services in the state. He also assured to set up a third STPI as a Center of Excellence in Tripura at the earliest.

During the meeting with Arvind Gupta, CEO, MyGov, the Chief Minister requested the use of the digital platform of MyGov for Tripura. MyGov is being effectively used to take the message of the Prime Minister across the world through digital means. Gupta assured to set up such a digital platform on the lines of MyGov for the State of Tripura and assure all the possible help to the State Government in this regard.
