Agartala, September 26, 2019: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today raked up the Rose Valley Chit Fund Scam case with the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Deb also urged Shah to expedite investigation into murder of two Agartala-based journalists. A Government of Tripura Press release said this.
According to press release, Deb met Amit Shah in Delhi today. During his meeting with the Home Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb urged Shah “to expedite CBI action in connection with Rose Valley Chit Fund Scam and early completion of investigation into murder of two journalists in Tripura for speedy justice to the families of victims”.
Deb also requested for completing unfinished Indo-Bangladesh Border to prevent infiltration of extremists and for early sanction of ICP at Sabroom to promote trade with Bangladesh.
In an attempt to address unemployment issue, Deb requested the Union Home Minister “deployment of two TSR Battalions outside the State so that State Government will be able to recruit two more Battalions for the unemployed youth”.
Turning focus on development of indigenous communities of Tripura, the Chief Minister appealed “to expedite High Level Committee which is looking into socio economic and other issues of Indigenous people”. The Home Minister assured to take positive action to consider all the issues of the State Government at the earliest.
