April 04, 2018: A review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Biplab Deb was held today at State secretariat over under construction Bigyan Bhawan in Badarghat . A Kolkata based firm – Creative Museum Designer is in-charge of constructing the Bigyan Gram.
Science, technology and environment Minister Sudip Roy Barman and concerned officials including Managing director of the implementing firm were present. Constructed on 12.84 acre land, Bigyan Bhawan will host series of scientific information on multiple subjects including human body, ocean, environment, Dome digital planetarium, 3D theatre, Science park etc. Total cost for installing these scientific facilities estimated to be Rs 64 crore 86 lakh 91 thousand 430. In addition, Rs 27 crore 45 lakh 40 thousand was earmarked for constructing buildings.
In power point presentation, details of the project were highlighted and Chief Minister also inspected a ‘model’ of the Bhwan.In the meeting, Biplab Deb inquired about State’s intervention required for successful implementation.
