July 17, 2018: The Pradesh Congress unit seems to be showing signs of urgency in reviving the organization after serious drubbing in last Assembly Polls. Apart from holding agitations against the ruling BJP-led Govt, Pradesh Congress is also attempting to strengthen its frontal organizations. Today, Tribal leader of Assam Dudu Tai arrived in Agartala and held series of meetings with local leaders and activists of Congress ST Cell.
Party sources said, Pradesh Congress is working on revamping frontal organizations – especially ST Cell considering forthcoming ADC and Panchayat polls in the State. Dudu Tai today evaluated the ground realities in meetings with leaders and activists.
PCC spokesperson Harekrishna Bhowmik said, three resolutions were adopted in the meeting. Bhowmik said, three members of the State ST cell – Chitta Debbarma, Nandini Chakma and Jiten or Shamsung Debbarma – will represent the State in forthcoming Executive meeting of AICC ST cell. One convener will be appointed in districts to strengthen the organization. Bhowmik also said, leaders have decided to hold a training camp for activists of Congress ST cell before Durga puja.
