December 22, 2017: The present is BJP and the future is also BJP; Acche din started in India after Modiji assumed Office – in Tripura also Acche Din will be started after BJP ousts CPIM in ensuing Assembly Polls, said All India BJP secretary Ram Madhav today in Agartala. Slamming LF Govt in Tripura, Ram Madhav said, Tripura is in knee deep anarchy and corruption. Saying that Chalo Paltai (Let’s change) is battle cry against ruling CPIM, Ram Madhav claimed BJP has become a destination for good people with an intention to do good for Tripura. He was speaking at a Parivartan programme in which veteran Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath joined BJP.
Ending speculation, veteran Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath along with his supporters and other Congress leaders formally joined BJP today. In a programme at Agartala BJP Party Office, Ram Madav, Assam PWD Minister Dr Hemant Biswa Sharma, BJP State president Biplab Deb and other leaders welcomed Ratan Lal Nath into saffron brigade. Speaking on the occasion, Hemant Biswa Sharma expressed confidence that people will ensure victory for BJP in coming polls. Biplab Deb said, experiences of veteran MLA Ratan Lal Nath will enhance BJP. In his speech, Ratan Lal Nath said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked upon making ‘corruption free India’ which is very much significance in the context of Tripura where ‘CM is patronizing corruption’.
With joining of Ratan Lal Nath, Congress loses an MLA and number of MLA in Tripura Assembly is increased to seven.
