Tripura: CPI-M meets ECI chief, demands re-polling in 464 booths in West LS seat

Agartala, April 15, 2019: A three-member CPI-M delegates today called on the Chief Election Commissioner of ECI Sunil Arora in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum. Led by CPI-M All India general secretary Sitaram Yechury, Politburo member Niloutpal Basu, Tripura MP Sankar Prasad Datta today submitted the memorandum and demanded re-polling in 464 booths under West Tripura Parliamentary Constituency which went to poll on April 11 last. The delegates also demanded adequate security arrangements for holding free and fair elections on April 18 for East Parliamentary Constituency.

It may be noted, Left Front leaders of Tripura met State Chief Electoral Officer Sriram Taranikanti yesterday in Agartala and made similar demands.
