June 06, 2018: Tripura Pradesh Congress has triggered erosion and inflicted exodus from CPIM. In presence of Tripura PCC Chief Birajit Sinha, 191 voters joined Congress in Agartala today quitting CPIM. “Supporters of CPIM from Suryamaninagar and Kamalasagar today arrived in Agartala Congress Bhawan and formally joined the Party leaving their long association with CPIM”, Birajit Sinha said.
He further said, around 100 families in Bishalgarh and 120 families in Narsinghgar will joined Congress today evening. “People have realized that Congress is the only alternative both in the State and Centre.
Meanwhile, Youth and students’ wing of Congress of Tripura today held a rally protesting against fuel and cooking gas prices. “Under BJP rule, prices of essentials are sky rocketing causing mass sufferings. Moreover, steep hike in fuel prices and cooking gas cylinder have worsened the situation”, said a NSUI activist.
