Agartala, April 13, 2019: Constitutional rights and fundamental rights of people are at stake in Dharmanagar subdivision under North Tripura District. Even women and old persons are not spared here under present dispensation, said Left Front candidate of East Tripura Constituency Jitendra Choudhury while addressing a press conference after a rally at Dharmanagar town. Elections for East LS seat will be conducted on April 18 next.
Speaking to media Choudhury said, a suffocating condition is prevailing here while democratic organizations and cultural sectors have come under attack in the subdivision. People are earnestly waiting to oust BJP from power. The country is suffering extremely and waiting to get rid of Modi and Amit Shah who are ‘Duryodhan’ and ‘Dushashan’ of politics. He said, election will be held on April 18 here to hoist flag of democracy again.
In context of Electoral Bond Choudhury slammed the Modi-led BJP and said, Prime Minister Modi passed the bill in Parliament. As a result political parties will be able to take fund through bonds from corporate organizations as much as they want and the amount will remain a secret. In reality BJP Government collected 95 percent of the bonds.
He continued spewing venom and said, Supreme Court gave a verdict seeking the accounts of fund received by each party through bonds within May 30. It will make it clear how much fund was received by BJP. It is expected that it would prove the allegations of other political parties against Modi Government. People of the country are also earnestly to get rid of such suffocating situation.
