July 22, 2018: The Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath visited his Assembly Constituency Mohanpur today and monitored progress of several developmental schemes. The Minister held a meeting with BDOs and SDM and inquired about undergoing developmental activities. After the meeting, he went to field visit during which he interacted with concerned officials and local people.
Speaking to media, Ratan Lal Nath said, a Regional Institute of Education will be set up at Mohanpur. He said, “There are only five such Institutes in the country and the sixth one will be constructed at Mohanpur”. He inspected 50-acre land where the Regional Institute of Education will be set up. He also held detailed discussion with concerned officials and inquired about the details. He also visited proposed site of Navadaya Vidyalaya etc. Later he said, he wants to be remembered as a performer who delivered good things to people as Minister.
Meanwhile, the Minister expressed his displeasure at slow progress of construction works of Mohanpur Municipal Council Bhawan. He said, the construction works were supposed to be completed by November 2017 whereas there is no sign of completion as of now. He directed the concerned official to end the works within September next.
Ratan Lal Nath also monitored progressed construction works of a Power sub-station. He said, the project is supposed to be completed within December 2019 but the progress is slow. He, however, said that concerned officials promised to complete the works within March 2019.
After inspecting the Mohanpur Bazaar, he asked to take appropriate action to modernize the market and ensure cleanliness. He also directed officials to renovate some roads. He also addressed some of the local issues and settled.
