January 05, 2018: The final electoral roll was published today by CEO Sriram Taranikanti in Agartala today.
In the final electoral roll also registered record increase in the gender ratio – 971 female voters to 1000 male voters—which was higher than most of the states of the country. Last year it was 965 against 1000.
In total, there were now 25, 69, 216 electors in the state among them 13, 03,420 male electors and 12, 65,785 female electors. There was a net increase of 2.52 percent voters in comparison to the draft roll.
The final electoral roll also recorded deletion of 34,845 voters and inclusion of net 63, 219 voters – and of the newly enrolled voters the younger electors aged between 18-19 years -took up the biggest chunk – 26,054 male and 21,745 female –in total 47,803.
