Tripura is set to embrace ‘Unlock measure-2’ outside containment zones with effect from 5am of August 11 and will remain in force till 12pm of August 31 next. However, “lockdown measures” will continue in containment zones till August 31 next. The night curfew will remain in force till August 31 for the period from 9pm to 5am. Chief Secretary, Manoj Kumar issued a notification to this end today.
Unlock measures-2
‘Under Unlock measures -2’ outside the Containment zone, all business, commercial establishments, shops and trade activities will be allowed. Also inter-state, inter-district and intra district public and private transport services shall be allowed. Notably, use of masks and maintaining social distancing are mandatory in all the cases, the notification mentioned.
All government Offices, Offices of Autonomous/Subordinate Offices and Private Offices shall be functional without any restriction on attendance. However, use of face cover/mask will be compulsory. There will be regular sanitization of the office space. There will be provision for hand sanitization in entry/exit of the office.
However, all educational, research and coaching institutions shall remain closed. However, online and distance learning will continue. Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will remain closed. All social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural and religious functions shall remain suspended.
Unnecessary congregation of persons should be avoided. Not more than 20 persons will be permitted in case of funerals. Not more than 50 persons in marriage ceremony will be allowed. Not more than 20 persons in health camp/blood donation camp and other charitable works.
Lockdown in C-zone
On lockdown measures, the notification read, “Lockdown will continue to remain in force in the Containment Zones till August 31. These Zones will be declared and reviewed by concerned District Magistrates and Collector. Micro containment zones consisting of a few houses around the place of occurrence of covid case of unknown source may also be considered”.
Listing the restrictions applicable in containment zones while ‘Lockdown measures’ are in force, the notification mentioned, only essential activities will be allowed within the Containment Zones.
Supply of essential goods will be made for containment zones. Doorstep delivery of goods and services may be organized for people in the Containment Zones. Intensive contact tracing, house to house surveillance and other clinical interventions will be organized.There should be strict perimeter control on movement of vehicle and persons in and out of the Containment Zones. The movement of persons in and out of the zone will be restricted to supply of essential goods & services, medical needs and livelihood related travel.
Containment Zones may be declared as orange zone after 14 days of last detected case. Containment zones may be de-notified 14 days after discharge of last confirmed case. City and District may be declared free from disease outbreak only after 28 days of last confirmed case being negative in RT-PCR test.
General Guidelines:
The Chief Secretary also issued general guidelines for common people to stop transmission of Covid19. The guidelines mentioned, Provision for thermal scanning, hand wash and sanitizer will be made at all entry and exit points and common areas of all offices and public places. All these places will be regularly sanitized. Wearing of face cover is compulsory in public places, workplaces and during travel etc. Persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, immuno-compromised persons, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years are advised to stay at home, except for essential and health purposes.
