April 16, 2018: The State Government is taking initiative to create job opportunities within a year utilizing the food processing, bamboo and tourism facilities, said the Chief Minister Biplab Deb while speaking at “Felicitation and Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the students trained under Skills Development Programme – Tripura State Initiative” organized by the Tata Trusts today in Agartala.
“Tata implies confidence – Tata successfully earned confidence of people of the nation with its initiatives and right kind of planning. Jamshedji Tata showed that people can convert soil into gold with right kind of approach and planning”, Biplab Deb said.
Focusing on job opportunities, Biplab Deb said, Tripura is known for pineapple, Jackfruit cultivation and bamboo and tea plantations. Based on these, small and medium scale industries could be set up which would create job opportunities. He also called upon concerned officials to estimate number of jobs that could be created and asked to impart required skill training.
He also invited the Tata group to launch business venture in Tripura. He stressed upon small and medium scale industries based on bamboo. He also mentioned about production of pineapples and jackfruits in the state and focused upon potentiality of food processing industries. Besides, Tripura has its very own Chabimura – the scenic beauty of Chabimura will give tourists experience like boating through Amazon river. Mentioning about Tripureswari Temple, he said, “Tourism including spiritual tourism has great potentiality and it would create job opportunities for youths.”
