Agartala, August 7, 2019: Tourism sector in Tripura is set to become more attractive as the State Government is contemplating to introduce ropeway services. If things go as per plan, first ever ropeway services will add colours to tourism sector as well as provide comfort and pleasure to tourists.
As part of the plan, a rope-way will be setup from Maa Tripureshwari Temple at Matabari – one of the 51 Pithas in the country connecting Maharani – gateway to serene Chabimura. Tourism Minister Pranajit Singha Roy today held a meeting with concerned officials and informed media about ropeway services.
Both Chabimura and Maa Tripureswari temple draw tourists every year in increasing numbers. However, visiting both the places at one go is, often impossible for most of tourists. Making both the tourist destination more attractive and time-saving, rope-way will come as a boon for tourists.
Available information revealed, ropeway will connect Tripureswari Temple with boat-jetty at Maharani. From this place, boats will take tourists to Chabimura. It may be noted that the State Government had already increased number of boats in-service for Chabimura tour.
