July 05, 2018: Continuing his surprise visit for third successive days, the Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath visited Maharani Tulsibati HS (+2) School today. Sources said, Ratan Lal Nath ordered concerned authority to serve ‘show cause’ notice to five teachers. During his visit, the Minister once again encountered instances of late attendance and gross mismanagement.
“Many teachers arrived in school today well after schedule time. Several other discrepancies were also noticed in running School management”, Ratan Lal Nath told media and added, the Government is sincerely trying to ensure quality education in Government run schools.
“Show cause notices will be served to teachers for negligence in discharging duties”, he said. Expressing his displeasure over the educational ambiance in schools, Nath said, late attendance, negligence etc are reflection of long run practices and it may take some time to come out of such practices. He however reiterated Government’s commitment to restore quality of education in Tripura.
