Tripura: Huge cache of arms found in TMSU Office

March 12, 2018: Acting on tip-off, Police personnel toady raided the Tripura Motor Shramik Union (TMSU) office at Nagerjala in Agartala and recovered a large cache of dangerous arms. Also Police arrested four CITU members on spot, sources said and added, Police found a large number of clubs, iron-rods, matchets and Ram Dau etc.

“The weapons were seized and similar search operations would be carried out in all TMSU or CITU offices across the state. It is a matter of concern that such arms are stocked in trade union offices, so we will have to conduct search operations”, said police sources. However, in a press communique, TMSU sources denied that CITU had stored the weapons.
