May 15, 2018: For the first time, an Indian Navy Chief – Admiral Sunil Lanba ,PVSM,AVSM, Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of Naval Staff is visiting Tripura. He arrived today in Agartala in a two days visit to Tripura. Admiral Lanba is the 23rd Chief of Naval Staff. An alumnus of National Defence Academy, he is a Navigation and Direction Specialist. The Admiral is being accompanied by his wife Mrs Reena Lanba.

He today visited archaeological site- Unakoti and later went to Tripureswari Temple. Lanba also visited Neermahal in Melaghar today.
Lt Gen Gopal R, AVSM,SM GOC 3 Corps and Maj Gen Upendra Dwivedi, IGAR(E) are also visiting alongwith the Naval Chief.
