Tripura, JK to get first Space Tech centres

August 14, 2018:  Tripura along with Jammu is set to get country’s first Space Technology Centres. The Centre will boost research and academics as well as create aptitude for space science for young students. Speaking at ‘Sarabhai Centenary” programmes of ISRO on August 12, Dr Singh said, Space Technology Centres in Jammu and NIT, Agartala will create new career opportunities to students of North India and North East India.

In a tweet, DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra Singh wrote, “Central University of Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir and NIT Agartala in Northeast will get Space Technology Centres, devoted to research and academics”. The Minister said this at “Sarabhai Centenary” programmes of ISRO on August 12 last.
