Leftists’ dig at BJP
- Life and livelihood are ruined under BJP-IPFT Govt
- Four CPM activists murdered in 4 months of BJP-IPFT era
- 1,000 Left activists, including 100 women, suffered injuries
“Attack on leftists in West Bengal and Tripura have been on the rise for past few months. The situation turned worst after BJP-IPFT government came into power in March this year. Besides, deterioration of law and order, crisis of job and food became severe in Tripura”, CPI-M leaders said.
Addressing the rally at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala, the State CPI-M secretary Bijan Dhar said, people have joined in a pan-India agitation today against the BJP Government in the Centre as well as Tripura. The main slogan of this agitation was to bring an end of attacks on leftists in Tripura and West Bengal, Dhar said. He also mentioned about incidences of attack on leftists at several places in Tripura after BJP stormed into power in Tripura.
Launching blistering attack on BJP, Bijan Dhar alleged, “Democracy entirely throttled under the BJP-led alliance government. Despite attacks on opposition parties every moment, police remained inactive, administration continued to be silent,” said Dhar.
