January 06: Hitting out at CPIM’s claim to be the Mesiah of tribal and Dalit communities, State BJP president Biplab Deb today alleged, eight BKP workers who were killed in recent past were either ST or dalits. Addressing a press conference today in Agartala, Deb said this and added, during the meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, State unit of BJP urged to take appropriate steps for ensuring a free, fair and transparent election.
Reiterating that BJP does not support IPFT’s demand for separate State, Biplab Deb said, any political party or individual may meet the Prime Minister, there is nothing fishy about yesterday’s meeting between IPFT leaders and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Deb also thanked the MoS Railways Rajen Gohain for announcing a new train service between Agartala and Deodhar which will benefit the followers of Anukul Thakur to visit the Satsangha HQ.
Referring to Amit Shah’s rallies in Ambassa and Udaipur on January 07, BJP State vice president Subal Bhowmik claimed that minimum 75,000 saffron party supporters would participate in each of the two rallies. All India BJP president Amit Shah will arrive in Agartala tomorrow and straightway fly to Ambassa in helicopter. He will address a public rally at Kulai School Ground under Ambassa at around 12.10pm and later will address another rally at KBI ground in Udaipur under Gomati district at 14.10pm, Party Sources said.
Both Deb and Bhowmik also explained in detailed about proposed formation of ‘Special Modality Team’ and said, the purpose of the Team is to explore the socio-cultural-economic and political situation of the tribal communities in Tripura.
