July 19, 2018: The Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb met the Union Minister of HRD, Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi today. During the meeting, Deb raised the extremely important issue of one-time relaxation for recruiting teachers in Tripura with the Union Minister during the meeting and sought his early intervention in the said matter.
Javadekar assured the Chief Minister that the Union HRD Ministry is actively considering the State Government’s proposal to grant the one-time relaxation in qualifying marks and exemption of professional qualification for recruiting teachers and a decision in this regard shall be taken in the best interest of the state of Tripura at the earliest.
Biplab Kumar Deb also raised the issue for setting up of two new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) – at Dharamnagar & Udaipur – and upgradation of one Kendriya Vidyalaya in Ambasa for the state of Tripura. Javadekar assured full support for setting up of these KVs in the state and informed that the proposals for the same received from the State Government in this regard shall be considered by the Union Government for the approval so that these KVs can initiate operating from the next academic session itself.
Union Minister praised the extensive efforts made by the State Government of Tripura in order to make the state into a Shikshit Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura.
