- Chief Minister’s B Ed Anuprerona Yojna to allow meritorious candidates to complete B Ed degree from recognized colleges. Under the Yojna, Govt will pay interests if candidates opt for bank loans. General candidate with minimum 50 per cent marks and SC/ST with 45 per cent marks will be eligible to avail the Yojna.
- Govt will supply 20 kg rice per family free of cost in July and August in 10 tribal blocks of the State benefiting 61 thousand 58 families. Total 2442 Metric ton rice would required for this purpose.
- Transport fares have been hiked by 20 per cent and commuters comforts were also emphasized.
- Government will recruit 177 in Junior grade stenographers posts.
- A Non Timber Produce Centre of Excellence Society will be set up with a fund allocation of Rs 958.04 crore. The society will be autonomous and will enhance livelihood opportunities for people living in forest fringe area. Activities of the society will ensure afforestation leading to prevention of floods.
- Government will set up four District Industry Centres – one each in Sepahijala, Khowai, North and South Districts in addition to existing four other Centres.
