CPM leaders of Tripura continue to criticize the BJP-led State Government over law and order issue.
The former Lok Sabha MP and senior CPM leader Jitendra Chowdhury on Wednesday talked tough against the ruling the BJP-led coalition government in Tripura and said, “There is no rule of law in this state under the rule of BJP government.”
The statement has come up today while Chowdhury was inaugurating the new building of CPM party office at Kalacherra in Sabroom.
“Since after assuming power in 2018, the BJP government in Tripura demolished at least 400 CPM party offices. The ruling party is still on an attempt to throttle the voice of oppositions here,” said Chowdhury.
He said, “More than 100 party offices were looted by the ruling party backed miscreants. They snatched the democratic rights of the people of this state and oppositions.”
NLFT cadre surrenders
One member of banned NLFT surrendered to security at Anandabazar PS in North Tripura District on Wednesday. Local sources said, an NLFT cadre Kansa Ram Reang surrendered to 13 bn TSR Jawans at Bhandarima under Anandabazar PS.
He also surrendered one pistol and a dagger. According to Reang, he has decided to surrender and return to normal life as there was no accommodation facility with the provision of food.
Burglars decamp with cigarettes, bidis
Thieves barged into a grocery shop and decamped with three Flake cigarette packets, some bundles of Bidi and a digital weighing machine from a shop last night. The incident took place at Patichhari Drop gate area in the South Tripura district. The owner of the shop, Pradip Pal, found the roof of the shop broken today morning.
Meanwhile, local people North Takma Panchayat under Santirbazar detained one person suspected to be a cattle lifter on Wednesday after 2 cattle of one Krishna Chandra Noatia were stolen last night. People also recovered drugs. Later Police of Monpathar PS were informed and they brought the suspected cattle lifter to the PS.
