May 08, 2018: In a shocking incidence, one jawan of Tripura State Rifles (TSR) shot dead his wife and two children and later committed suicide. The incidence occurred at the residence of slain Jawan at Rabindranagar area of Subhashnagar near Agartala today. Police are suspecting that the TSR jawan – identified as Manik Ghosh (40) – had shot himself dead after killing his wife Ratna Ghosh, his son – Deepraj Ghosh and daughter, Debsita Ghosh. However, reasons behind such gruesome and tragic incidence are yet to be known. Slain Manik Ghosh was with 5th battalion of TSR.
What baffling many is how the TSR jawan managed to bring rifle at home. High officials of Police administraton have reached the spot and investing the incidence. Notably, on Sunday last, one BSF jawan shot dead three of his fellow jawans and later shot himself dead.
