May 19, 2018: While all eyes are firmly fixed on Karnataka Assembly session, the BJP-led Tripura Government has announced ‘recruitment policy’. The State Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath today announced the new recruitment policy after Cabinet gave its nod to new recruitment policy. The new policy envisages recruitment based on written test for all Government posts. Speaking to media today in Agartala, Ratan Lal Nath said, written tests will be conducted for all recruitments for Group A to Grade D posts. Job aspirants hailed the decision.
During the Left Regime, recruitment was mainly conducted through viva voce and allegedly genuine candidates were deprived. With serious allegations of nepotism during LF Govt in recruitments, the BJP promised formulation of recruitment policy in its vision document. Accordingly, Ratan Lal Nath today announced the Policy. He said, erstwhile recruitment policy of the LF government stands cancelled.
The policy aims at ensuring transparency in recruitment policy and jobs will be provided on merit basis, sources said.
The policy is likely to give boost to private coaching centres as job aspirants will now have to clear written test. “The new recruitment policy will not only benefit genuine candidates, but will give private career coaching institutes a chance to expand and enhance their capacities”, said an Agartala based young entrepreneur engaged in providing tutorials.
With possibility of mushrooming career coaching centres, the State Government will have to set its mechanism right to avoid ‘question paper leak’.
“The Government, before implementing the policy, should check its mechanism to conduct written tests for all types of Govt Jobs. Full proof and efficient monitoring system must be set up, otherwise the very purpose of the new policy will remain elusive”, opined a group of job aspirants of a competitive exam centre and expressed hope that the new Government will ponder all aspects and secure future of meritorious candidates.
