Tripura Youth Congress slams Government over CAA and Police action in Jamia

Agartala, December 18, 2019: Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress held a protest programme over the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Agartala today.

Wearing black masks, Youth Congress activists voiced against the Act and demanded to withdraw the Act. They also condemned Police action at Jamia University in New Delhi.

Condemning the CAA, State Youth Congress president Pujan Biswas argued the enactment of the CAA would put pressure on the ethnic culture of the North East. Biswas also expressed solidarity with Jamia Islamia University students and slammed the Police action.
