Agartala, May 4, 2025 – The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Tripura Prant’s annual Sangh Shiksha Varg concluded on Sunday with a powerful message of unity, discipline, and moral development.

Ven Dr. Dhammapiya, the Chairman of the Dhamma Deepa Foundation and Vice-Chancellor of Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University, delivered a stirring address at the valedictory ceremony, emphasizing the critical role of values-based education and social harmony in nation-building.

Held at Seva Dham in Purba Champamura, the event marked the culmination of weeks of intensive training for RSS swayamsevaks (volunteers) from across Tripura.

The closing ceremony, attended by a diverse gathering of students, professionals, farmers, and entrepreneurs, highlighted the RSS’s enduring mission to foster disciplined, service-oriented citizens.

Ven Dr Dhammapiya’s Vision for a United Society

In his address, Dr Dhammapiya underscored that training is not only essential for spiritual growth but also for societal progress. “Knowledge is acquired through disciplined effort, not inherited,” he said.

“Serving society selflessly requires rigorous training, and initiatives like the Sangh Shiksha Varg ignite patriotic fervor and a deep sense of social responsibility.”

Dr Dhammapiya, a prominent Buddhist spiritual leader, called for collective action to drive societal transformation. He emphasized that sustained ethical training is key to nurturing empathetic, community-minded individuals.

“To become a fully realized human being—aware, compassionate, and dedicated to the greater good—we must embrace discipline and unity,” he urged.

His words resonated deeply with the audience, reinforcing the importance of moral development in shaping a cohesive society.

RSS Tripura’s Commitment to Holistic Development

The Sangh Shiksha Varg is a cornerstone of RSS Tripura’s efforts to build responsible, value-driven leaders. The 2025 edition combined physical drills, ideological sessions, yoga, cultural programs, and community service, offering participants a holistic training experience.

This multifaceted approach aims to cultivate both physical strength and intellectual clarity, preparing volunteers to contribute meaningfully to society.

The camp attracted a wide cross-section of participants, reflecting the RSS’s broad outreach in Tripura.

From young students to seasoned professionals, the diverse group underscored the organization’s ability to unite people from all walks of life under a shared vision of national service.

A Century of Service: RSS’s Legacy and Future Goals

Ashok Biswas, RSS Tripura’s State Ideological Head (Prant Bouddhik Pramukh), delivered the main address, tracing the organization’s 100-year journey since its founding by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in 1925.

Biswas highlighted the RSS’s grassroots efforts through daily shakhas (local gatherings) to instill character, patriotism, and a commitment to selfless service.

Paying tribute to Hedgewar’s vision, Biswas recounted the early struggles and foundational aims of the RSS.

He also celebrated the contributions of Eknath Ranade, a legendary RSS pracharak (full-time worker), whose tireless efforts led to the creation of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari—a symbol of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.

Biswas also shed light on the work of the Sangh Parivar, the RSS’s network of sister organizations. These groups operate in diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, rural development, and disaster response, offering a comprehensive model of social engagement.

“The Sangh Parivar’s collective efforts demonstrate how disciplined, value-driven work can transform communities,” Biswas noted.

As the RSS approaches its centennial celebration on Vijayadashami in 2025, Biswas called on volunteers to deepen their commitment to the organization’s mission.

“The centenary is not just a milestone—it’s a call to action. Every swayamsevak must serve as a beacon of nationalism and a contributor to India’s collective advancement,” he urged.

Preparing Leaders for a Stronger Nation

The Sangh Shiksha Varg is designed to equip participants with the skills and values needed to lead with integrity. Through a blend of physical training, intellectual discussions, and cultural activities, the camp fosters a sense of purpose and responsibility.

Volunteers engage in activities that promote teamwork, discipline, and a deep connection to India’s cultural roots.

The 2025 camp also included community service initiatives, allowing participants to put their training into practice. These efforts reflect the RSS’s belief that true leadership is rooted in service to others.

A Vision for a Cohesive, Service-Oriented Society

The successful conclusion of the 2025 Sangh Shiksha Varg reaffirms RSS Tripura Prant’s unwavering dedication to building a cohesive, service-oriented society. By combining spiritual wisdom, ideological clarity, and practical training, the RSS continues to shape individuals who are committed to strengthening the nation.

Conclusion

The messages delivered by Dr. Dhammapiya and Ashok Biswas serve as a reminder of the power of unity and discipline in driving meaningful change. With its centennial on the horizon, the RSS remains steadfast in its mission to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders.
