ProMASS News Bureau: Sep 26, 2016: India have won the historic test number 500 in style in Kanpur against New Zealand by 197 runs. Ashwin was the star with the ball picking his 19th five wicket and 5th 10 wicket haul in test cricket. Chasing 434 runs to win the test, the Kiwis got bowled out for 236 runs in the second innings. The Final day of the test match and the Kiwis came with just 6 wickets and India eyeing an historic test win in Kanpur. The 2nd test begins in Kolkata from 30th September.

Mitchell Santner, in his first Test in India showed character and discipline to become the most important player on this tour with the knock of 71 falling to Ashwin for this 4 wicket of the 2nd innings. Santner’s wicket opened the flood gates as Ashin wrapped up the tail to bowl out the Kiwis for 236 runs.
