Tripura Governor inaugurates seminar and workshop on demonetization and cashless transaction

ProMASS: Jan 17, 2017: Demonetization and concept of cashless economy are revolutionary moves of the Central Government, said Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy to day in Agartala. Inaugurating a seminar cum workshop on cashless transaction, he also stated the decision will have long term effects and problems of black money, fake currency as well as terrorist funding have been hit hard due to this decision.
The seminar was organized jointly by CSC VLEs under Ministry of IT and Computer Print – an Aadhar enrollment agency at Matangini Pritilata auditorium, Agartala. The CEO of CSAC e-governance Dinesh Tyagi and officials of SBI, UBI and other banks were also present in the workshop.
The Village level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) were trained about cashless transaction and various operations in Common Service Centers (CSC). Notably, CSCs are offering several government services like birth certificates, updating Aadhar Cards, issuing Pan card etc as well as Air and rail tickets, Telemedicine, education related various courses etc.
