ProMASS: Jan 22, 2017: Confusions and differences have been sorted out and pre-poll alliance between SP and Congress have been sealed today for upcoming UP Assembly Polls. News agencies report, Congress has got 105 seats in UP out of total 403 Assembly seats. Earlier, chances of forming an alliance fell flat after Congress demanded 120 seats while SP refused to give more than 90-odd seats to Congress.
Initial reports suggest, Akhilesh Yadav will hold a press conference later and announce the details of the alliance as well as release poll manifesto.
According to Political observers, the alliance is likely to have major impact on outcome of UP polls. In case alliance would fall flat, BJP would have been in much advantageous position, however, SP-Cong alliance will make UP poll more interesting and fierce battle is on the card, Political observers opined.
