More troubles brewing for Kejriwal as Election Commission has directed Chief Electoral Officer, Goa to file an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party, AAP, convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his bribery remarks in Goa. Moreover, the Commission also sought a compliance report regarding legal action by January 31.
Notably, the Commission had earlier censured Kejriwal for asking Goa voters to accept bribes from political parties but vote only for AAP.
Meanwhile, citing provisions of section 126 A of the Representations of the Peoples’ Act , 1951, the Election Commission today (Sunday) banned exit polls from 7AM on February 4 till 5.30 PM on March 8 in the poll-bound states, including the Amritsar Lok Sabha bye-poll.
