The assailant fatally stabbed a Police Officer after mowing down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. Three people were killed after being hit by the attacker’s car. Later Police shot dead the assailant. Rowley said, it is believed the attacker was inspired by international terrorism.
There has been no report of any Indian casualty in the attack, so far. Strongly condemning the attack in a tweet, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj advised people to avoid going to Parliament Square. Many world leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have condemned the attack. In a tweet this morning, Mr Modi said, at this difficult moment, India stands with the United Kingdom in the fight against terrorism.
