June 02, 2017: In a whirlwind tour, Union Minister for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, Environment, Forests and Climate Change Dr Harsh Vardhan, who arrived in Agartala yesterday, took part in a ‘cleanliness drive’ at Teliamura under Khowai district today as part of the ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyan.
Dr Harsh Vardhan arrived Teliamura today morning and flanked by BJP supporters, he picked up a broom to kick off cleanliness drive as part of the Swachhch Bharat Abhiyan. The ‘Safai Abhiyan’ today started at 8am at Ampi Choumuhuni. Th Minister was also accompanied by State and local leaders of BJP and Yuva Morcha including Kalyani Roy, Amit Rakhshit, Bikas Debbarma and scores of supporters of the party.
“Minister was seen sweeping Teliamura road with a broom and enthusiastic BJP supporters joined him. A large number of BJP and Yuva Morcha supporters have attended today’s cleanliness drive”, party sources said.
Dr Harsh Vardhan said, gathering of large number of supporters and common people indicate that BJP will emerge triumphant in Assembly 2018 polls and he is confident about defeat of Leftists in the state.
